All the other bits of our being are piled up on top of our hearts, and wading through our inner selves can seem daunting. The ancient yogis understood this, and so they made it simpler for us. They identified and described each part us, each part of the human system, in a model they called the Panca Maya. Understanding how all the different parts of our system interact – the emotional with the physical, the spiritual with the mental etc – is essential to maintaining balance and happiness.
During this workshop, lectures will bring you deeper theoretical knowledge of this area of yoga, supported by references to fundamental texts. Practical sessions will involve a variety of yogic techniques like asana (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation, and svadhyaya (self-examination).
They will allow you to see your own personal situation from a different perspective, bringing you immediate experience of life from your centre.
