A workshop about You
With Marc Beuvain and Roz Robinson
In the idyllic setting of Gayles on the South Downs
24th-25th April 2010
Two complementary approaches to holistic health and well-being come together in one workshop focusing on self discovery and self development.
This will be a practical learning experience, exploring the following topics:
• What are we? Understanding the different aspects of our being, how they interact, and how imbalance can occur
• How this imbalance leads to suffering
• Understanding our own personal situation, and what is needed to regain physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health.
Yoga: Constant Connection
With Marc Beuvain
Yoga is about living. It’s a challenge, because we are very used to just surviving. For survival to cease and life to begin, the revelation of your true self is indispensable. Understanding and experiencing who we really are, living in constant connection with our deepest selves whilst pursuing all our normal activities, is the essential aim of yoga. In today’s context of generalised disconnection and the global chaos it brings about, this is also the most urgent aim of yoga. This is a workshop about giving survival a back seat, and letting the real you take control.
Human Givens psychology: Understanding our patterns
With Roz Robinson
As human beings we all have essential needs, both physical and emotional, and the way that we respond to others and to our own lives is driven by patterns that have arisen from our seeking to fulfil these needs. Given even a little knowledge, understanding and commitment we can learn to recognise the unhelpful patterns; we can challenge them by making often simple lifestyle changes and go on to become more honest, fulfilled and happier people
